An international gateway for Western Sydney

Bringing the world to Western Sydney's doorstep

Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) will provide direct connections to the world, allowing opportunities for residents and the community to enhance Western Sydney's connection to world economies.

The airport site at Badgerys Creek is located in Western Sydney near the New South Wales Government's Western Sydney Employment Area, the Western Sydney Airport Growth Area and the South West Growth Area.

WSI will attract investment in business in Western Sydney, ranging from manufacturing and logistics to hospitality, education and other professional services. It will enable businesses to have quicker and more convenient access to overseas markets. For example, goods manufacturers and exporters of perishable items will be able to reach markets in Asia the next morning.

Tourism will also be boosted, with the airport providing better accessibility to destinations across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.

As the region grows, the airport will support Western Sydney's success on the world stage.
