TransGrid line relocation
Looking after Sydney’s electricity
A 3.2-kilometre section of a high-voltage powerline currently crosses the Western Sydney Airport site and needs to be relocated.
TransGrid manages and operates the NSW transmission network. The transmission line will be relocated underground, within the boundary of the airport site. This will allow earthmoving works to take place at the site and for the airport to operate.
The relocation works will be undertaken in a manner that minimises disruption to the electricity network.
