Market sounding

The Australian and NSW governments are undertaking a market sounding process to test private sector interest in station development and innovative funding models for the delivery of Western Sydney rail.

This market sounding process is part of the $100 million investment towards a business case process for the North South Rail Line included in the Western Sydney City Deal. The North South Rail Line is part of the Preferred Network for Western Sydney rail.

Market sounding is a preliminary information-gathering step, and we are seeking to consult with:

  • major landholders along the North South Rail Line corridor from St Marys to Macarthur
  • major landholders around the Badgerys Creek Aerotropolis in North Bringelly
  • major developers with experience with transit-orientated and precinct development.

Questionnaire

A questionnaire will be provided to interested parties to complete and submit.

If you wish to provide input into the market sounding process, please email your contact details to marketsounding@infrastructure.gov.au to receive a copy of the questionnaire.

The closing date for submission of completed questionnaires is 8 May 2018.
